Treasury Secretary Romney Tells Citibank: Fail Already
(New York) In a stunning change in the “too big to fail” policy of the previous administration who must not be named, U. S. Secretary of the Treasury Mitt Romney said today that CitiBank should get on with failing already, the American public has paid enough for their bad decision making. “Were they going to share with the taxpayer if their gambles won? I doubt that” he said.
Romney said the multinational banking concern should get about the business of going bankrupt post-haste, the sooner the better. “I know a dozen guys who are lining up to buy their assets at bargain basement prices” he said. “These are guys who know how to make prudent business decisions, so we won’t have to worry about them coming back crying poor mouth anytime soon.”
